Bad JS customizations - how to fix in the backend?

AI-generated summary

Bad JS Customizations: Users are experiencing issues with Discourse after attempting to make JavaScript customizations via the Customize → CSS/HTML → head and body section. redblue reports that errors in their JavaScript code have prevented them from editing, deleting, or enabling other saved customizations.

benword suggests referencing a meta thread on a similar issue, while sam recommends enabling Safe Mode as a potential solution. However, ChrisBirch notes that previous solutions have not worked for them, and seeks an updated answer to the problem.

Hi,

Currently using v1.3.0.beta3 +13. We’ve attempted some javascript header/footer customizations via:

Customize → CSS/HTML → head and body

but we’ve ended up ‘breaking’ discourse due to our JS containing errors. This in turn means we can’t edit, delete or enable any other saved customizations. Basically, we can’t edit or remove our own javascript:)

How can I remove these changes in the backend? Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks.
