Bing sagt Meta Description zu lang

Bing says Meta Description too long for topic Meta Descriptions.

Is there any way to limit length of Meta Description

Hi

From what I’ve read, Bing recommends a maximum meta description length of 160 characters.

Discourse uses the Topic excerpt when available to fill the meta description.
Using the topic excerpt maxlength setting, you can control its maximum length.

Please note that the topic excerpt used in the meta description and displayed on the forum can’t be dissociated.

Updating or rebuilding a post to regenerate the topic excerpt might be necessary. I am not sure of the best way to do this on a large scale at the moment.
