It is rejoicing to see that we have three recent threads that come up at about the same time all dealing with communities that are very essential to build a brighter future in our world, may discourse’s mix of clarity and efficiency help this ! : Creating local communities, Building educational communities, and Building local co-op communities
For your educational community, I see two helpful features that would be interesting to deploy :
-Anonymous/Private threadsfor students who for example are bullied, feel depressive, etc. at school but promoted in a way that they know it’s 100% anonymous.(it should be configured to work on private threads only in a specific category though)
-Promoting music teaching, dance, sport, or another other lunch time/after school activities. Maybe you can do this using the calendar/event plugin using the right sidebar plugin with the upcoming events block. Not sure on how it looks for mobile users who must be most of your community members though, maybe it can be improved like a fixed bottom left/right calendar icon that stays permanent but disappears on scroll, I can check out how to do that you with that if you want.
