Can I hide the menu “more “ on left upper corner of my Discourse Forums?

Hi,

I am building a website with Discourse. There’s a menu “ more “ on the left upper corner of Discourse under the menu Topics, My posts and My messages. The menu “ more “ brings some trouble to me:

1, when I clicked the menu “more “, there will be a small window popping up which covers the Category Menu. I will have to close the small popping up window to see the Categories.

2, there are a lot of menus in the menu “More “ , only the Filter menu is useful to my website now. Can I put the menu Filter under the menu Topics and hide the menu “More “?

Thanks,

Frank

Yes, you can add the filter link to the community section of the sidebar and remove it from the “more” menu.
If the more menu is empty, because you removed all the links, it’s no longer shown.

Hi Moun,

I tried to Customize this section, but how to move the Filler up to Topics?

Thanks

You add it as a new link and move it

I tried to record it. Maybe that helps

I just tried and dragging links from below the “More…” up also works.

I am not that used to dragging. It doesn’t work on tablets

The tablet way actually is more like deleting all links and manually adding them in the order you want.

I tried to drag the icon on my desktop, it works. But then, can I hide the Menu “More “ if I don’t delete the contents of the menu More? If I delete the contents of the menu More, can I reinstall the contents by clicking “ Reset to default “?

Yes, you can always reset to defaults to get everything back. You can also add links to the more menu later by customizing the section.

I would not hide it with CSS instead of removing the links in the more menu to let Discourse hide it. Hiding the full menu will also hide the customize option for you.

Very good, the problem solved. Thanks,Frank
