I’m trying to build a community like reddit, but with discourse features. Can I post topics that redirect to other URLs ? Thanks

I see, it’s just that I’m in the middle of choosing the right platform for my next product. I’m in love with Discourse, and I think I will adapt my product instead. Thanks

No. That is not how Discourse works at the moment (nor do I believe there are any plans to do so). Discourse is about encouraging conversation and dialog…having a topic that redirects solely to an external page defeats this goal. Additionally, there is no interface to get into the topics comments…

Were you looking for something like Admin → Customize → Permalinks? [image]

No, I was looking for actually sending you to another website.

It’s basically like reddit. You can post links instead of topics.

This has been discussed before [image] Submit Link (Similar to Reddit or Hacker News) Feature How about a feature to submit link similar to reddit or hacker news?

The “External URL” option offers what I think you’re asking for. Maybe post a more distinct example of your goal?
