All you need to do to reproduce this is attempt to change the badge type of the New Userof the Month badge. It won’t save, and will revert to Bronze

Pre-Seeded badges can’t be edited iirc? Has that changed?

Edit: just tested with other badges, pre-seeded badges can’t be changed.

We don’t want people fiddling with the badge level for “stock” badges, but we need the UI to properly communicate this, no for it cause confusion.

I’ll close this off in favour of that one.
