Category links now no longer have the category's coloured square?

AI-generated summary

The discussion revolves around the disappearance of colored squares next to category names in category links, which were previously used to visually distinguish categories (e.g., green for Documentation). NateDhaliwal first noticed the change, questioning whether it was intentional to reduce visual clutter or an accidental bug. Arkshine suggests it might be unintentional, pointing out that the default value for the category display should be square rather than undefined. JammyDodger notes that the issue appears to have been fixed, though NateDhaliwal clarifies that onebox links still don’t display the colored squares. The thread concludes with a suggestion to close the issue, as the main problem has been resolved.

I have noticed the category links now no longer have their coloured square next to the category name:

However, it still shows up in the post preview:

Is this intentional to create less visual noise, or was it an accidental change?

If it was intentional, I would just like to say that it looks a bit weird. I suppose this is because I associate categories with colours, like Documentation => Green.

This seems to be unintentional (or maybe it’s a feature :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

You see undefined, the default value should be square (can be icon or emoji)

I think this may be fixed now. Let’s give it a try,

It is, indeed! Just that onebox links don’t show the square…

Perhaps this should be closed since the mentioned problem has now been fixed?
