Create Badges only visible to specific groups

I want to create a badge to celebrate staff who participate in an end-of-year holiday celebration topic. These people are all in a group giving them access to internal, private categories. I don’t want this badge to show up to the public or to anyone else.

Looking at the badge settings and examples, I can see how to assign a badge to people who participate in a topic, but I don’t see any way to show it only to a specific group.

I can see this being a useful addition all around - e.g. for staff to monitor certain things about members and for encouraging participation on the group and category level.
