Before when I clicked a user’s name in a thread in some post and clicked Message
this particular post was quoted.
Now it’s always the 1st post in a thread.

You’re right. Before this fix Reference to topic when messaging gone? - #5 by eviltrout it didn’t link anything, but now it is just the topic and not the specific post.

Yes this looks like a regression. @eviltrout is this another edge case we missed?

When I reviewed it we only ever used to get the URL via the topic. Maybe it somehow had the ability to link to a post due to leftover state?
