A deprecation notice in the console warns that PluginOutlet arguments should now use @outletArgs= instead of @args=. Heliosurge encountered this warning, which is likely caused by the Air theme or a plugin like Minimal Category Boxes. Lilly suggests checking safe mode and identifies that outdated component code may be the source. Heliosurge confirms the Air theme is installed. j.jaffeux clarifies that this is a non-critical deprecation, meaning it won’t break functionality, and only theme/plugin maintainers need to address it. Heliosurge confirms this won’t affect the theme’s function, and j.jaffeux confirms it’s a warning to prepare for future removals, not an immediate issue.
Deprecation notice: PluginOutlet arguments should now be passed using @outletArgs= instead of @args= (outlet: category-box-below-each-category) [deprecation id: discourse.plugin-outlet-args
This currently doesn’t seem to be breaking anything. So more just for information headsup
This is a deprecation notice, so if you are not a theme/plugin maintainer you have nothing to do about it and that won’t cause errors on your instance.
No as long as it’s a deprecation, we use these to track them and fix them ahead of final removal. It’s only YOUR problem, if it’s your own private customization causing this.
