Google Suite und Rücksendeadresse für „Benachrichtigungs-E-Mail"

Hallo!

Ich habe meine SMTP-Einstellungen für Discourse kürzlich auf Google Suite (Gmail) umgestellt, anstatt meinen vorherigen selbst gehosteten Mailserver zu verwenden. Ein Hauptgrund für diese Entscheidung war, dass Benutzer mit einer E-Mail-Adresse von @mail.com oder @gmx.com zuvor keine E-Mails von unserem Forum erhalten konnten. Das führte dazu, dass die betroffenen Benutzer einen Administrator kontaktieren mussten, um ihre E-Mail-Adresse zu verifizieren.

Ich habe die E-Mail-Umstellung auf GSuite erfolgreich durchgeführt und ein Test-Konto bei GMX erstellt. Die E-Mails kamen dort einwandfrei an – super! Allerdings ist mir ein Problem aufgefallen. Früher habe ich E-Mails über zelakto@zelakto.tv gesendet (betrieben auf meinem eigenen, auf Azure gehosteten Mailserver), und ich hatte die Option „Benachrichtigungs-E-Mail

Just an update:

Previously I didn’t configure the domains MX, SPF, and DKIM records to match G Suite. They’re properly (at least I’m assuming) configured now, and you can check the status of them using Google’s Check MX tool. The problem still occurs. Not really sure what to do at this point.

Gmail will rewrite the from address to the authenticated user.

You can verify another email address on your account to prevent this rewriting.

Be warned that using gmail this way will cause you grief.
