namecheap is dead to me. A while back an Uncle got cancer. I setup an instance to coordinate family support.
then
namecheap decided months later I needed to upload state identity documents.
Our family lawyer said hard NO. Not law enforcement. Not a bank. Not the IRS.
So namecheap cancelled the domain out from under me.
I recommend gandi. Godaddy is differently horrible.
