We’re using Active Campaign, which we just recently configured to Discourse through zapier webhooks. Right now it’s just creating forum member emails in Active Campaign with a forum member tag. While Discourse out of the box already does a great job at rewarding members through the badge system, it seems like there’s more that could be done to automate some basic user engagement with an email marketing automation platform in place.
How are you driving engagement through automation?
Have you looked on FeverBee? There are examples of email marketing automation there for Discourse and other platforms.
And there are other useful topics on engagement. Here’s an example using Discourse data queries to drive engagement. It doesn’t specifically involve email marketing automation but it is a useful example and it could feed into an email marketing platform:

Ciao, uso anche Active Campaign e sto cercando un modo per aggiungere nuovi membri del forum a un elenco in AC e attivare un’automazione di benvenuto. Menzioni che esiste un webhook Zapier che fa proprio questo. Ma l’unico trigger di Discourse possibile che vedo in Zapier è “creare un nuovo post”.

Scusa per la risposta tardiva. Quello che vuoi fare può probabilmente essere realizzato, ma non con l’integrazione Zapier di Discourse descritta qui: Use the Zapier Discourse Zap Templates. Invece di usare questa, dovrai puntare un Webhook Discourse a Zapier usando il metodo descritto qui: Trigger a Zapier task with Discourse Webhooks. Il processo per aggiungere membri alla tua lista Active Campaign dovrebbe essere simile.
C’è un problema con il metodo che sto suggerendo. Si basa sul webhook Discourse User Event. Quel webhook viene attivato ogni volta che un utente accede, disconnette, conferma la propria email, viene creato, approvato o aggiornato. Ciò significa che ogni volta che il webhook viene attivato per un utente verrà conteggiato come un task su Zapier. A seconda di quanto è trafficato il tuo sito, ciò potrebbe causare l’esaurimento rapido di tutti i task disponibili nel tuo piano Zapier. Sarebbe fantastico se il webhook User Event potesse essere filtrato su Discourse in modo che venga attivato solo quando un utente viene creato per la prima volta.
