I just want to know how can I remove post history? For example my post have 6 revision. But I want to remove 5 of them. They waste my disk usage. OK, I know maybe it is not too much. But if you think about total 10k post with 6 revision that makes 60k. Depends to your editing, it could be waste too much disk for sure. Actually it is not important either it waste too much disk or not. We should be able to delete post revisions anyway in my opinion.

It is possible to hide revisions, look for the trash icon on the edit history dialog.
I don’t believe that is that @bek is asking. He mentioned disk usage, hiding a revision doesn’t do that, it just removes it from the client view for non-staff users.
That being said, I don’t believe this would be possible without accessing the database.
Yes, you right. I don’t talking about hiding revisions, I want to remove them. Who actually need a dozen of revision all the time? Don’t you think this is waste of resources @codinghorror ?
Anyway, as I said before take it waste or not, we should be able to remove these revisions… If there is no feature request like this, let me make one here

I wish there was a setting to disable the ability for the public to see revisions, as in, disable the pencil…
Is there a setting to turn off the ability to review past revisions?

You’re looking for the edit history visible to public site setting. Disabling that will hide it.

Puoi nascondere la matita a tutti tranne che allo staff cliccando sull’icona della matita, quindi nascondendo una per una tutte le revisioni:
Anche l’impostazione cronologia modifiche visibile al pubblico dovrà essere impostata.
Non c’è mai stata una risposta a questa domanda specifica, ma l’utilizzo di disco o di altre risorse per quanto riguarda le revisioni dei post è trascurabile.
È raramente utile rispondere a un post di 3 anni in un ecosistema OS in rapida evoluzione. 
E questo è uno dei motivi per cui l’aumento automatico di tre anni è… forse non una buona idea?
E se qualcuno con strumenti abbastanza potenti volesse spostare questo argomento da qualche altra parte e chiuderlo, per me va benissimo (e so che voi non avete bisogno del mio permesso per niente 
questo è solo un modo educato per dire ai moderatori che forse siamo fuori tema adesso)
Forse eliminare automaticamente i thread dopo x anni senza risposta scherzo😂 Questa è ancora l’unica visione persistente sui forum con cui sarò sempre, sempre in disaccordo.
Nell’uso generale dei forum web, ho trovato nel corso degli anni tante soluzioni da thread molto vecchi (e anche da post di blog molto vecchi), ma anche un sacco di bloat inutile e vicoli ciechi all’interno di quei thread… dove utenti e moderatori si lamentano del bumping e/o del non utilizzo della ricerca, piuttosto che mantenere la qualità del thread o indirizzarlo sull’argomento.
Dovremmo accogliere il dibattito, se il thread non è pertinente, cadrà naturalmente nell’oblio.

Riguardo alla domanda originale, per chiunque altro arrivi a questo thread tramite ricerca: Forse esiste, o potrebbe esistere, un plugin per gestire questo. (Mantieni solo le ultime x revisioni) o un’impostazione ufficiale nel pannello di amministrazione per mantenere solo un numero massimo di revisioni. Oppure, per eliminare le revisioni più vecchie di x giorni.
Se questa funzionalità è importante, probabilmente vedrà la luce in futuro. Vedremo.
