How to add avatar+username quote to replies in Discourse?

When I reply orr quote members in my forum it does not show their avatar and username in the top right.

Is this a plugin? How can I add this to my install?

Hi,
I think these appear when you don’t reply to the last poster (nor to the topic) but to someone “upstream”.

There are a few options that can be tweaked in the admin settings that are default enabled to reduce some visual noise:

  • suppress reply directly above
  • suppress reply directly below
  • suppress reply when quoting

Maybe experimenting with those could get you closer to what you want @haydenjames?
