I like this theme, but I feel that the dark mode was too dark for me, I wanted to tweak the dark panel a little bit and I was unable do to so… Am I missing something?
yes, it was me not doing something right 
you can edit the colors but make sure you pick the right color palette, from what I can see, you need a light and dark with the same name for that to work nicely
Looks like you figured it out, but want to make sure you saw the instructions on configuring color palettes. Horizon has alot of user selectable palettes by default (twelve! counting light and dark) so it helps to filter by “horizon” to see them all.
Yep! One more thing I noticed is that for it to show on the selector on the bottom left you must name it like the original ones. For example, my pallete Violet will make it show up, but just naming it my pallete will not.
Finally, I don’t know how to change the hint color on the left when you are picking the pallete

Oh yes, good catch! I hadn’t thought of that aspect. The color chooser is part of the horizon theme and is not available on other themes, and it appears the color names are hard coded.
