Actually, it doesn’t work. Even after logging out, I can still see myself.

Hide presence: there are still a few places where it doesn't work

Hello I’ve found some places where I think it should hide online presence too. Chat presence, when you write a message it show on the bottom even if you hide your presence. I think on user page summary, in statistics the Seen section should also be hidden for users if hide presence active. It would also be good if it works like the 2 point with the “Last Seen” User Card theme component. Thanks

Hidden user profiles are not completely hidden, shows with "this user's public profile is hidden"

This is 100% as designed and won’t be changing. The goal is to hide the profile (and hide presence features), not hide the user completely.

Sounds like we need a plugin to fix this. As a user should be able to have their profile hidden from the user directory. I agree it should maybe still show in things like topic stats. However they should have an option to not be directly shown in the user directory.

I have resolved the issue by disabling the user directory feature and using the leaderboard as a replacement. The leaderboard allows me to hide groups.
