I’m sure it used to be possible to make a post be a dismissible “banner” post which would appear at the top of every page. I can see that now there’s an option for a welcome banner with a search bar. Did that replace the banner post?

Does the category have any group permissions? Since it’s a global banner, you can’t use it on a topic unless it’s public to everyone.

A banner post is still possible… it’s a separate feature from the welcome banner. It’s in the topic admin menu, within the “pin topic” modal [image] The option is “make banner topic” [image]

Weirdly when I pin and unpin a topic, the menu option remains “Un-pin topic” (though the correct modal does pop up). Also on the “Feature this topic” the third section beginning “There is no banner topic” does not appear.

Working for me on recent build …when you hit the button you should also see small action text at the bottom of the Topic.

That will be it. It’s in the Staff category. I’m going to guess that past me moved it to that category, which also meant it stopped being a banner post. Thank you.

I recategorised it, and it remembered that it had been the banner post. Thanks again.
