How to make a new <p> tag when a user hits enter?

When I type here in the composer, if I hit enter once, a new

tag in the html is created, and the user sees a double line break.

However, when I type in the composer on my forum, if I hit enter once, I get a single line break.

So a user has to hit enter twice to get that double line break.

Is there a feature I need to enable to get the same setup as here?

Do you use the same composer mode in both forums? I know the rich-text-editor adds a different line break (New composer inserts double line breaks when pressing return key) than the markdown editor.

Hmm… are you using the Markdown or the WYSIWYG rich text editor? IIRC the 1st behaviour is that of the WYSIWYG rich text editor, and the 2nd is the Markdown one.

Ahh, now I see!

I never paid attention to the M↓ or A icon in the composer, looked confusing. That was the issue though.

Boy, if the admin has a problem figuring that one out…
