Se la tua VM è stata violata, devi presumere che anche il tuo container Discourse sia stato violato.
I tuoi backup si trovano in /var/discourse/shared/standalone/backups/default. Vedi Restore a backup from the command line. Quello che farei è Move a Discourse site to another VPS with rsync
