How to run redis standalone in protected mode?

We want to setup redis standalone and run it in protected mode. Any idea on how to do that?

Sorry for not being clear the first time. Redis is used by Discourse. We want to separate it out from the main docker container and set it up on a standalone server.

You’re welcome to do that, though it’s not really supported here. There are environment variables that you set to trek discourse where redis is. If you search here for “two container” you’ll see some examples.
