I would like to setup a blog at example.com/blog, where example.com is discourse instance. I don’t want to use a subdomain. Will there be any issues? If not, I would be glad if somebody could provide me the instructions.

You could in theory make it work using nginx but I’d recommend you set up blog.example.com instead of example.com/blog as setting up as a subdirectory will only bring you trouble down the line.
