I would like a category where everyone can create topics but only members of a selected group can reply

I only see permissions for

create / reply / see

I would like something like this:

everyone -> create / see
group-members -> create / reply / see

How does one achieve this?

You could have them create them in one category and then the users who can reply would move them to the category where they’ll discuss them.

Another solution might be a category that requires approval, but I’m not sure if there’s a way to do that.

In the category settings you can check a box to require approval for all new topics
