I recently became a moderator for forum.creative.gimkit.com.
I read the topics for IP addresses. by searching. However, this might be confusing me. When I looked it up, it mentioned to go to the logs and then the screened IP addresses.
The reason I want to block that specific range of IP addresses is because many trolls I see on the forum are from that IP address range. @justanotherperson sent me a message on the Gimkit forum about a large group of accounts that troll on the forum or have similar identities with minimal interest to the forum, and a lot of those members in this range got suspended by moderators there.
I would like the IP addresses in this specific range to be blocked:
I tried that on my WordPress and it just doesn’t work. That piece of IP-space will change next week. Fail2ban would help a bit, but I don’t know how to use it without reverse proxy and if docker changes something. Geo-blocking works, mutta an international forum can’t use it.
All of those, and as should be blocking wider than one IP, are admin level things, not for moderators, though.
I suppose if you want to keep this up, I will keep it up too.
Mainly the reason I blocked that specific IP range was because there was a person that made a large quanity of accounts under that range, most of which were deleted or suspended. There are IP blocks in that range made by other moderators, but they didn’t cover the entire range.
