If user is suspended, will they still receive group emails?

I have this SSO setup where Wordpress is used for signing users in, and when they are signed in they get access to Discourse.

When they are removed as users on Wordpress, I also want to restrict their access to Discourse. Im thinking the way to do this is to suspend them on Discourse. Does this sound like a good strategey?

Also, does anyone know if being suspended will stop that user from receiving group emails and being able to send/respond to group emails?

Hello

As far as I am aware a suspended user does not receive emails as suspending them from the site kicks them off it completely.
