It would be very helpful to have a direct to imgur hosting for images/videos that you can quickly add to your post.
My server data is already quickly adding up from just my post, so other user post would be best hosted on an external website like IMGUR.
I am wondering if something like this exist or if its possible.
I know quick embeds are there already but something faster would be good.

Not a legal expert, but I think that’s against their Terms of Service:
Terms of Service — Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Also, don’t use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network.
You might have to look to Amazon S3 or Google Cloud storage for image hosting.

How much disk space do you have on your server? How often do you post videos, and what is the file upload maximum size you set?

My server does run on AWS already so that is probably the best option. I looked at the pricing and seems like it won’t be terrible for my needs.

I am probably going to limit it to only photos no files or videos and 1 mb and under photos.
I wanted to future proof it for 10,000 members uploading like 1 mb per day per month.
The price doesnt seem that high on S3

Sounds good. Here is a guide you can use to setup S3 buckets for use with Discourse
If you’re still not fully set on AWS, we have also a list of compatible services that will work, with instructions on settings to use as well.
This topic covers how to configure some common S3 compatible Object Storage providers (S3 clones). See Set up file and image uploads to S3 for more details about Amazon AWS S3 configuration, which is officially supported and used internally by Discourse for our hosting services.

is there a way to limit users upload size compared to the staff?
I am also wondering about changing upload size for subscribing members to mirror the staff.

This question is answered here:
There are two topics about this and it’s not possible.
If you haven’t already, I suggest you do a quick search when you look for basic information, they might have already been answered in the past
