Importazione da Workplace by Facebook

Sono interessato a promuovere l’uso di un’istanza interna di Discourse in azienda.

Attualmente utilizziamo Workplace by Facebook e sto preparando una proposta per migrare su Discourse.

Qualcuno ha già migrato post e forse gruppi da Workplace a Discourse?

Da https://www.facebook.com/workplace/faq/, c’è la seguente nota (sotto “Perché la mia azienda dovrebbe pagare per Workplace Premium […]”):

\u003e L’azienda mantiene la proprietà dei dati pubblicati dai propri dipendenti su Workplace e dispone di meccanismi per esportare tali informazioni e gestire la propria comunità in modi non disponibili su Facebook o su Workplace Standard.

Quindi presumo che sia possibile, avremo l’abbonamento Premium, ma non ho idea di quale sia il formato o se sarà possibile importarlo in Discourse.

I am not aware an importer for Workplace now, but if they will indeed let you export your data, I can write an importer for it.

Please see Discourse Migration – Literate Computing, LLC for some basic information on imports. As I point out there, if you are going to use discourse.org hosting, they may be willing to import your data as part of their support, so you should be in touch with them as well.

In addition to the other questions at the link above, I will need at least a sample of whatever their exported data looks like to give you a complete estimate.

Thanks Jay, have read about your work migrating mailing lists previously!

We would indeed be going with the discourse.org option if this materialises. But thought I would get in to the swing of Discourse and see if anyone had done this before.

Can’t see any documentation on what it may look like but I’ll try and find out.

Ciao, hai trovato un modo semplice per migrare da Workplace a Discourse? Ho una community di 4000 professionisti dei disturbi alimentari del Regno Unito per cui devo trovare una nuova sede! Abbiamo sempre usato Workplace solo come forum con buone funzionalità di ricerca. Grazie, John

Non sono a conoscenza di alcuna modifica.

La risposta è praticamente la stessa.

Puoi vedere quali dati sono disponibili per l’esportazione: https://www.workplace.com/help/work/1858663031075098 e se forniscono dati che desideri importare in Discourse, qualcuno può scrivere uno script per importarli.
