Setting up a new Discourse community is now faster and more fun! After completing the Discourse setup wizard, a new design wizard guides admins through personalising their Discourse community.
Now, you can pick a theme, choose color palettes for light and dark mode, select your fonts, and set up landing pages, layout and search options, in just a few clicks

New sites
If you’re just starting a new community, you’ll see the wizard the next time you set up a site.
Existing sites
For existing sites, a re-run option exists so admins can relaunch the wizard from the Themes & components tab in the admin sidebar, but it will only appear for sites that still meet the following conditions:
- the site’s default theme is a core theme (Foundation or Horizon)
- no non-core themes exist on the site at all (including theme-components)
