We’re working to improve the experience for admins of new Discourse sites, with the goal of helping them build engaged communities and succeed with Discourse.
We started by mapping the end-to-end admin journey to find areas of improvement. That’s led to two features we’ve shipped so far: a new design wizard that walks admins through site customisation, and improvements to how admins invite collaborators and members during onboarding. Next, we’re exploring what the third onboarding step should be.
Running in parallel: we’re expanding the hosted Discourse Admin Assistant to handle site settings, billing, and content management for new admins, and we’re polishing the ID-based site signup experience to make it more cohesive.
