Is it possible to limit the length of meta og:description content?

I’m working with an SEO Expert who knows that it is very important that meta descriptions be no longer than 150 Characters. Hmm. That appears to be supported by Meta Description — 2020 SEO Best Practices - Moz. Or not: Meta Description Length - How Long Should Your Meta Description Be? - Moz

  • Is there a way to do that?

  • If one were to write a plugin to do that, where do I look to see what to override?
