Telegram integration is very finicky to set up and an average user is usually not bothering enough to take all the steps that are required to enable telegram notifications on their account.
I’d recommend not to use it unless you have a community that uses telegram as their primary mode of communication.

I think @Systmyz is talking about Set up Telegram integration using the discourse-chat-integration plugin, which is an official plugin for a very common need, while @itsbhanusharma is talking about Telegram Notifications Plugin (discourse-telegram-notifications), a very niche and strange use case plugin.

@Falco & @itsbhanusharma both are right. Actually, I want to experience LIVE example of TELEGRAM integration. Kindly suggest some community which has already integrated Telegram with their Discourse based community. Thanks!!

Integrei meu site do Discourse com o Telegram, usando dois plugins: Telegram Chat Integration (que envia notificações de qualquer/todos os posts para um canal do Telegram pré-configurado) e Discourse Telegram Notifications, que, quando integrado corretamente, envia minhas notificações pessoais para mim no Telegram (posso até mesmo ‘curtir’ e ‘responder’ a esses posts diretamente pelo Telegram). O segundo é para notificações/atividade pessoais, enquanto o primeiro serve para receber quase/todos os posts criados no seu site em um canal ou grupo do Telegram.

É possível fazer o inverso também? Todas as mensagens do canal do Telegram são enviadas para um tópico no Discourse?

+1, também consigo pensar em alguns casos de uso para isso.
Agora você pode usar o chat diretamente no Discourse, então não há mais necessidade de chat no Telegram!
