I’ve set up my own forum. May I ask where I can get an overview of the personal information I’ve collected and inform users about it? Currently, it’s a mystery to me.

Data Collected by Discourse:

  1. Mandatory Data:
    1. Email Address: Required for account creation.
    2. Username: Required for account creation.
    3. IP Addresses: Discourse collects the registration IP address and the last used IP address whenever a user logs in.
  2. Optional Data:
    4. Full Name: Not required unless enabled under the full name required setting.
    5. Profile Information: Users can add bio, location, timezone, and website if they choose.
    6. Custom Fields: Sites can add custom fields at registration or on profiles.
    7. Avatar: Users can upload custom profile pictures, or Gravatar can be used if enabled.

Some of the data you listed, such as the username, isn’t “personal information”.
