Hello,

Since recently ish I’ve been managing a Discourse Community and the business I work for is considering locking all topics to be members-only.

What would be the best way to do this - using tags? I have tried this a while back but members complained they lost access to the topic altogether, so I’m a bit cautious about doing it again and causing mayhem…

You can use the categoriy permissions to configure who is allowed to see topics in a category

And the simpliest solution what Moin offered is all rights are TL0. And if nothing is needed to show then forced login.
