Tengo un volcado de una aplicación de foro antigua que me gustaría migrar a Discourse. ¿Cuál es la mejor manera de hacerlo? ¿Debería crear un plugin para ello? ¿O usar la API para crear nuevos posts? Necesito que la fecha sea exactamente la misma que la del archivo de volcado para cada publicación.

You don’t mention what software you’ve been using. Every importer migrates the original date of the posts, so that part is easy.
Searching “your forum howto” will find instructions if there are any, and the link above will get you to all of the importers.
