O Discourse não usa respostas aninhadas, pois isso vai contra a filosofia deles:

Olá, como o @Canapin disse acima, o Discourse não usa respostas aninhadas.

Não é exatamente a mesma coisa, mas quando as postagens têm respostas, você pode ver uma seta com um botão com o número de respostas, onde clicar nele mostrará as respostas (semelhante a um tópico):
