In our forum we have different main categories with some subcategories. The main categories are locked. If you are in one of the main categories the ‘New Topic’ button is grayed out which seems to confuse our users and a few already asked if they are missing any permissions which they used to have. To make this more intuitive we would like to allow creation of topics inside the subcategories without the need to return to the main level. We also thought of creating a small dialog, which explains the “problem” and allow jumping to the sub categories instead. Leaving it grayed would only happen if also all sub categories are “locked”.
Are there any plans on improving this or has anyone experience with this issue and knows a handy workaround for this situation?
Abbiamo un caso d’uso che necessita anche di questo: rendere pubblici gli argomenti 3 mesi dopo la loro creazione.
Pensavo che un buon modo per farlo fosse avere
una categoria principale pubblica per i vecchi post (Tutti possono vedere / Rispondere solo)
una sottocategoria ristretta (TL_0 può creare) con uno spostamento automatico dei post dopo 3 mesi.
script automatico per spostare gli argomenti dalla sottocategoria alla principale una volta che la data di creazione è di 3 mesi o più.
Il problema è che il pulsante + Nuovo argomento nella categoria principale è ora disattivato per i miei utenti registrati. Anche se potrei semplicemente dire loro di pubblicare nella sottocategoria, preferirei mantenerlo pulito:
Sostituire il pulsante + Nuovo argomento disattivato in questa categoria con uno funzionale per tutti gli utenti registrati che apre il composer con la sottocategoria desiderata preselezionata.
