I would like to get notified on release notes so set to watch the 1st topic under the announcements category
It worked fine before but I didn’t get notifications from most 2 recent release notes. No emails and they didn’t show in my user panel either.
Is it expected?

Thanks for raising this @th21 and @Ed_S. Looks like we had accidentally left the disable category edit notifications setting enabled here on Meta, which meant that publishing shared drafts didn’t trigger notifications for people watching announcements.
We’ve updated the config now, so the next batch of release notes should create the correct notifications. We’re also going to update the setting description to make it super clear that these settings affect publishing of shared drafts.
