No logro entenderlo del todo. Mi mejor suposición es que copiaste algún carácter invisible entre los dos puntos y el //.
Quizás intenta escribir el comando. O si lo escribiste, intenta copiar y pegar.

Sí, gracias @pfaffman y @Moin , ambos tenían razón… Había copiado y pegado el comando
https://github.com/discourse/discourse.git /var/discourse en la consola basada en web en Hetzner
Intenté escribirlo en la consola en su lugar, ¡y de hecho funcionó!
