Number of users who watch a category or topic?

How can an admin count the number of users who watch a topic or category? Is it measurable via API, or admin statistic panel, or even google analytic?

can anyone guide me?

I’m looking for it to get a measure of importance of topics/categories for our community.

It would be easy enough to do using the Data Explorer plugin.

There are 4 “_users” tables:

  • category_users
  • topic_users
  • group_users
  • tag_users

Each has a notification_level field.
0 Muted, 1 Normal, 2 Tracked, 3 Watched
