Oblong unread notification in mobile

Is the unread posts notification on mobile devices oblong on purpose? I think it’s the only element that deviates from the rectangular/circular design scheme.

Did the numbers get smaller @awesomerobot?

I feel the numbers should be a tad larger if possible?

The circle they were in got a bit smaller, but the text should have been the same. It was a bit on the small side though. Bumped it up a size.
