when admin setting default other external links in new tab is on, if anonymous users click on a link in a topic, it opens in the same window.

even if the link has the target = "_blank" attribute, it doesn’t open in a new tab.

should it work like this? is there anyway to make links which open in new tab for anonymous users (not logged in)?

Settings do not apply to anonymous users, this has already been discussed at External Links not opening in new tab
