You can technically “escape” the hijack by hitting CTRL+F twice
tested in chrome and firefox
but do be prepare for some bugs (tested on chrome) with native find capabilities
for example you can’t use Enter to go to the next match all the time because it triggered the “quote reply”
which closes the native search.
