Say I have a custom rails app on a domain like www.example.com and my discourse install at forums.example.com
When users create accounts on my custom application and login, what options do I have to auto-create a discourse account and also log them into discourse?

You’ll want to use our official sso:

Discourse SSO ’ is now ‘DiscourseConnect ’. If you are running an old version of Discourse, the settings below will be named sso_... rather than discourse_connect_...
