Overriding restricted tags on admins/staff

Continuing the discussion from Category with restricted tags now required for admins?:

Does this feature requires something to be set in my Discourse instance? I’m admin and I can’t add tags beyond the group-limited ones on tags-limited categories.

I’m probably missing something.

Well, I see this checkbox needs to be enabled to allow more tags for admins, I wonder if it allows everyone to use tags beyond the category allowed scope or only to staff/admins?

Sidenote: when trying to upload images on Discourse I get @uppy/aws-s3: Could not read the ETag header. This likely means CORS is not configured correctly on the S3 Bucket.

I think that topic is a little bit different (it’s also a bit old now), the original post there was talking about making a new topic without including required tags (“you must choose at least 1 tag”) — what you’re talking about is tags limited to the category, which I don’t think staff can bypass.

Thanks for your reply, Kris. I thought about opening a feature request directly, but I just want to be sure there is no option to ‘enable more tags for admins’. Please, if you can confirm, I will edit and move it.
