Quarter user statistics issue

AI-generated summary

In the discussion “Quarter user statistics issue”, users are reporting discrepancies in the quarterly and monthly statistics. polusok noticed that monthly statistics are larger than quarterly statistics, and benes shared a similar issue where quarterly reports show incorrect or incomplete data for user contributions. codinghorror requested that the issue be added to a list for review. However, tgxworld has already reported that the issue has been fixed in https://github.com/discourse/discourse/pull/3916.

How numbers for month statistics are bigger than quarter statistics?

For example, @sam received 739 likes a month and @sam received 540 likes in a quarter. ?!

month statistics

quarter statistics

That is odd @neil can you add this to your list to check?

Hi @codinghorror,@neil,
I have exactly the same problem. The user stats, particularly for quarterly report do not work. For example, I have a user that created topic and replied to three topics in November, but if I try to pull quarter stats from Sept2 - Dec2 for him, it shows 0 topics and 0 replies. The same happens for all users, but it often shows only some contributions, so the numbers are not zero, but they are definitely wrong(unless I am missing some hidden logic).

It would be great if we could make this work as I would like to use this for quarterly reports.

Cheers!
