Safari 26.0 上的引用按钮在 macOS 26.0 中未显示

On my site, when I select some text to quote using Safari 26.0 in macOS 26.0, I get a Share button but not a Quote button.

However, it works fine when I use other browsers, such as Arc.

And it works mostly here when using Safari 26.0, although I have to select slightly carefully. If I triple-click to select an entire paragraph, the Quote button doesn’t appear, but if I drag-select the same text (minus whatever returns are at the end), the Quote button does appear.

So there may be more going on with Safari than just in iOS 26.

Are you logged in on the first screenshot? The Quote button will only show up if you are logged in and can reply on a topic. Maybe that’s the difference between Safari and other browsers.

On meta, I see it on Safari on iOS 26.

Doh! Login state was the issue—sorry about that. Juggling multiple computers and browsers, and I missed being logged in on the secondary browser on the secondary Mac.

However, my comment about the triple-click issue remains. This may be Safari’s problem since it happens in Safari 18.6 and 26.0, but not in Arc, at least, when I triple-click to select the last paragraph in a post, the Quote button doesn’t appear.

If I select that paragraph carefully to avoid getting whatever line break or carriage return is at the end, it works fine.

And if I triple-click to select something other than the last paragraph, it also works.

I can reproduce this, it’s a known issue, I don’t think there is an easy fix unfortunately.

I think we want to delete this topic given it is not a bug but user error. Let me know if I am interpreting that wrong.

Why don’t you keep it in Support? It might help someone who has the same problem in the future.

Sure - I can slide it across.

I’m not offended either way—the login state was user error, so others may do that too, and the lack of a Quote button on triple-clicked final paragraphs when using Safari sounds like a more significant conflict that will be hard to fix.
