Redis shared : problem security data ? Which datas are concerned?

My hosting provider told me I can install Discourse but the Redis is shared and that I “must not put in Redis sensible informations”

I would like to know what kind of information is stored in Redis (the list) with Discourse so I can decide whether or not I can install it.
I cannot read the whole source code I am not a developper I don’t posess the

And especially if emails or identity of the users of my forum would be endangered.

Discourse does store some sensitive data in Redis. You shouldn’t share the Redis instance with another application.

We strongly recommend you follow our official installation guide, which will automatically include a dedicated redis instance: https://github.com/discourse/discourse/blob/master/docs/INSTALL-cloud.md
