My forum is a closed community that is looking to open up and accept registrations from the public. but we would still like to filter the sign ups from certain channels.
Is there a way for the new sign ups to be subjected to approval before they are let into the forum?
- For new user sign up via generic website link
- For new user sign up via the multi user invite link from a specific user
Is a referral link invite an option?
Currently, invitation tokens that are generated allows the users to crate an account and they are accepted immediately.
I am not able to use the option of “Staff must approve all new user accounts before they are allowed to access the site.” as we want to keep it seamless for invites that are sent to a certain group of people via multi user invite link.
