I was searching and saw previous topics about custom profile fields and searching profiles. But going to the search page or users page doesn’t give options to make it easier to search those. About how much would it cost to create a plugin that allows the search feature to act as a directory where you can filter in certain sections?
I know the search handles putting in what you searching for a user custom profile field but the results come up only on the small side and nothing to really separate the users from posts. Just having a search for users only where you can specify or filter based on custom fields like location, skills etc.
Sì, desidero qualcosa del genere. Ho esaminato un po’ il codice ma non sono riuscito a capire come farlo con un componente tema e se richiede una codifica molto più approfondita (ovvero scavare nel Ruby), al momento non ho idea di come farlo
Quello che spero di vedere è in realtà simile a ciò che Circle ha appena abilitato per la sua piattaforma. Ecco due screenshot:
Mi piacciono molto i semplici menu a discesa e i modi per filtrare gli utenti. Quello che ho notato su Circle è che la loro ricerca non sembra funzionare bene, quindi forse Discourse potrebbe avere sia una ricerca utenti più efficace sia aggiungere alcune opzioni di filtro aggiuntive come questa.
Ho esaminato molte di queste piattaforme (FB, Discord, Guilded, Circle e altre) e poche sembrano avere directory di membri buone (ricercabili/filtrabili/con campi utente personalizzati/eleganti). Ho abilitato il componente tema User Card Directory e quindi mi sento sul punto di avere quella directory di membri che ho sognato, manca solo l’aspetto del filtro.
Sarebbe possibile farlo in un componente tema solo con js e CSS? O richiederebbe un plugin completo basato su Ruby?
