Setting up Discourse without the ability to create new topics


I am working on a project where we need a discussion platform that will completely revolve around discussion topics created by the admins.

Here is the scenario:

We have an RSS feed and we want to have a website that accumulate discussions over each feed entry. The functionality we need is to open a “New Topic” per RSS feed entry periodically, and block everyone else (except admins) from opening New Topics to provide a one to one correspondence between the feed and the forum.

Is it possible to accomplish this with Discourse?

I think that should be possible by setting each of your category’s security permissions for the ‘everyone’ group to See|Reply, and have See|Reply|Create limited to ‘admin’. :+1:
